EPiServer : VPP View Admin Plug-in. How To Find Where In The VPP Folder Your Images Lives!

I recently had a few problems with the VPP folder for one of my clients. The server was set-up in a staging/live environment. We were using a program called SugarSync to make sure the VPP folders mirrored each other, rather than having to rely on a third party server.  We had issues with the sync and some of the files were copied and some weren’t.  In order to double check if the issue was a sync’ing issue, I needed a way to map a files virtual path into it’s file location on the server.  This allowed me to check if the servers matched up. Within Episerver I couldn’t find an easy way to track this back so I created a quick admin plug-in.

The plug-in is available from GitHub and can be easily added into a project. All you need to do is update the path to the location you add the aspx file in your webroot.
