Re-ordering pages on a website is a fairly common task. Recently, one of our content editors asked me how to sort pages; he was trying to drag pages in the tree to where he wanted it to live and then saving it, but wondered why it did not save correctly.
In the Umbraco back-end, navigate to the area you want to organise. Right-click on the parent of the area you want to tidy up to open the Umbraco context menu. Click 'Sort' You will now see a list of all the child pages. By clicking on any of the pages, you can now scroll each one up or down. Continue moving pages until you are happy with the ordering of your pages and click the 'Save' button. If you now take a look at your website's site tree you will see that the order will have changed. Enjoy!
