Episerver Find can be a great option if you have aspirations of creating an all singing and dancing search provider within your website. For development purposes, anyone can create a free EpiFind index very quickly. In today's post, I'm briefly going to show you how you can do this 💥
First, you will need to create an EpiFind account. Navigate to find.episerver.com
Click on the 'Sign up for a developer index' button.
Fill in your existing log-in credentials, or more likely create a new account. Follow the on-screen details.
Click 'Create Developer Service'
Add in your 'Index name', select the languages that your site will need to support. Finally, sell your soul by clicking on the T&C's. Doing this will trigger an email. You will need to verify your account's email address before you are allowed to use the index.
After following this process, you will be presented with everything you need to get started with Find. On the confirmation screen, you will get access to a public and a private index URL. You will also get the exact web.config
configuration code that you will need to copy into your solution. That is all there is to creating the index! I detail how you can set up Episerver Find on your website in this guide. Happy Coding 🤘
